The plight of Guantanamo Bay detainee Omar Deghayes will be discussed at a meeting for university students and staff.
Campaigners lobbying for justice for Mr Deghayes are hosting a meeting for students, staff and the public at the University of Brighton tomorrow.
Mr Deghayes is a 36-year-old law graduate from Saltdean who has been held at the US military jail for almost four years under no charge and with no contact with his family.
Speakers will include Bob Brecher, reader of moral philosophy at the University of Brighton, Julian Saurin, international relations lecturer at the University of Sussex, and Asim Qureshi, a specialist in international law who advises the human rights organisation Cageprisoners.
The meeting is in Cockcroft Hall at the Moulsecoomb campus of the University of Brighton in Lewes Road, Brighton, tomorrow at 1pm.
