Ann de Vecchi, leader of Lewes District Council (LDC), tells us Brighton and Hove Albion has been named as defendant in LDC's application for a judicial review of John Prescott's decision in favour of a stadium at Falmer but that it has no need to defend itself (Letters, January 14).
She also said "We are challenging his decision because, in rejecting his inspector's conclusion, that the case against a multi-purpose stadium was overwhelming, he didn't follow his Government's policies".
Yet, in the case of the Newhaven incinerator, she and her LDC colleagues are asking Mr Prescott to decide.
