How can Brighton and Hove City Council say it is disappointed it has been left to pay for free bus passes for the elderly?
Residents are sent a form to fill in and a replacement pass is sent annually.
We have, in fact, had free passes for several years. The cost started at £10, dropped to £5 and is now free. All we pay are the bus fares so why the council is disappointed is beyond me.
