My heartfelt thanks to everyone at Brighton Methodist Church, Dorset Gardens, for the beautiful memorial service for my dear friend Rena Collins.
The minister, the Reverend Cynthia Park, was like an angel as she delivered the inspired and personal service, telling the congregation about Rena's early life, her passion for animals and her work with the Christian Consultative Council.
Rena's outrage that some people still continue to eat meat.
Thanks also to Sir Andrew Bowden for his affectionate memories of Rena and his lambasting address against the suffering caused to animals and to Gloria Macari for her poignant song, God Gave Life To All The Animals.
Thank you for the prayers from The Service For Animal Welfare by Reverend Professor Andrew Linzey - prayers to help Christians think at a deeper level about our responsibilities towards animals.
Thank you to all who made Rena's funeral and for the service sheet ending with Rena's poem, I Am A Seagull, I love To fly Over Beautiful Brighton ... .
