It is all very easy for the current Lib Dem leadership of Lewes District Council to wring their hands and say they have nothing against Brighton and Hove Albion and are not responsible for their present aggravation.
If they had been around a little longer, they would remember David Bellotti, a leading Lewes Lib Dem Councillor and sometime short-term Eastbourne MP who said similar things when he was selling off the Goldstone.
