Can I just remind all readers there is a public meeting at Downs Infants School, Brighton, on Thursday, February 2, 7.30pm, concerning Onyx's proposed waste transfer facility for Hollingdean Lane.

This is a proposal which, if accepted, will have a huge impact on the lives of many residents and children.

Readers might be interested to know that John Collis, from Onyx, has declined an offer to attend the meeting.

This is not surprising because more than 8,000 people have so far objected to his company's proposal.
