With a sound which falls somewhere between Pavement and The Flaming Lips, this Delaware-based six-piece are one of the hot tips for 2006 and a gift for anyone who loves quirky indie-pop.
Fresh out of high school with a debut album entitled Nice And Nicely Done, The Spinto Band specialise in radiant rock-outs live but layer sounds with a finesse which belies their years.
Formed by two sets of brothers and their high school friends, the band take their name from guitarist Nick Krill's virtuoso grandfather, Roy Spinto.
In 1999, producer Robin Eaton got involved after hearing their song about a psychedelic carrot. He invited them to record at his Alex The Great Studios in Nashville, where they continued to make annual recording visits.
Combining rich, textured guitars and multiple-part vocal harmonies, the band also have a full-time member dedicated to creating their artwork and videos.
Starts at 8pm. Tickets cost £7 or £6, call 01273 699069
