He has just joined a League One club as well with the same two letters at the start of their name and, like Leon Knight, he could also be heading through the exit door at Albion.

Knight has relaunched his career at Swansea, Albert Jarrett is trying to do the same further east with Swindon.

Jarrett started a one-month loan stint at the County Ground last Saturday as a substitute against Bournemouth.

Half of his limited appearances for Albion over the past two seasons have been from the bench.

According to manager Mark McGhee, the enigmatic wide man has only himself to blame.

"He's just not worked hard enough or applied himself as well as he should," McGhee said.

"He's just wanted it too easily. He's expected just to be given the chance because he's a left winger and offers something different but he's not earned his chance."

Jarrett's Albion career got off to a promising enough start following a free transfer switch from MK Dons two summers ago.

The African-born 21-year-old made three starts and nine substitute appearances last term but they were all crammed into the first three months of the campaign.

He did not feature after October and it has been the same story this season, the last of nine successive starts coming at Cardiff in mid-October.

Jarrett has suffered injury problems since then and now he is hoping to help out Iffy Onuora's strugglers.

He made a difference against Bournemouth, joining the action in the second half when the score was 2-2 and, along with fellow newcomer Lee Peacock, inspiring Swindon to a 4-2 victory.

Jarrett has a familiar face to aid the settling in process in Wiltshire. Ricky Shakes, also a winger, is a good friend and former South London district team-mate.

Jarrett's pace and unpredictable streak could shake up a few League One defences over the coming month.

He is halfway through a three-year deal with Albion but neither the Seagulls or the player are ruling out a loan extension or permanent move.

"After the month's over we'll see where we go from there," Jarrett said. "There's a possibility to do something.
