Last Wednesday we decided to go to the Pelham Restaurant in Pelham Street, which is staffed by students of City College Brighton and Hove.
We had heard that the food and staff were brilliant and how right they were.
During the evening, a chef suddenly appeared at our tables and started to sing songs everyone in the room obviously loved.
We were treated to Sinatra and classic standards for about 45 minutes. He was far better than Pop Idol and X-Factor contestants and had the looks as well.
But he was one of the regular trainee chefs. We all thought it was a most novel yet unusual idea for any restaurant.
Sadly, I didn't catch his name but a party of us will certainly go again - not only for the superb food and setting but now for the singing chef.
