Campaigners attempting to stop elderly women being evicted from a care home are holding a public meeting.

Friends, relatives and former trustees connected with the Dresden House, Medina Villas, Hove, will meet at St John's Day Centre, Palmeira Square at 7pm on Monday.

They want to discuss ways to halt or delay the home's closure.

Current trustees announced on January 11 Dresden House would shut on March 31, giving residents just 11 weeks to find other accommodation.

Organisers said: "Everyone who would like to make their views known on this controversial subject are cordially invited to attend."
