The man who helped bring Dennis Rodman to Sussex today declared: "You will not have seen anything like this".

Rodman, the former Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons forward and, more recently star of Big Brother, makes his British League debut for Genesis Brighton Bears against Guildford Heat at the Triangle tomorrow (8pm).

He has signed an initial one-game deal with Bears, for an undisclosed fee, with an option for two further appearances.

Rodman is expected to arrive at the Burgess Hill venue by limousine and will hold an autograph session ahead of tip-off.

His manager Steve Simon told fans: "Get set for a fantastic show. Dennis is really excited about this.

"He was supposed to come back by to the States after Big Brother but he is having such a good time in Britain he wanted to stay.

"He is hoping this will be so huge the club will bring him back for one or two more games."

Bears have signed Rodman thanks to backing from their sponsors Genesis Forwarding Services for a fee believed to be less than the £25,000 per game for which his services were first offered to British clubs. He is only contractually required to play 15 minutes per game but Simon said: "Typically Dennis gets so into the game he plays as much as he can but he is very aware of not taking up other players' court time.
