On behalf of all Mick's family and friends, I would like to thank everybody who played in the Mick Cheal Memorial Darts Trophy on Saturday, January 14, at the Brighton Trades and Labour Club.
Thanks also to everybody who bought raffle tickets and all the local businesses, pubs and the public who donated prizes for a raffle.
Well done to Paul for organising the darts side of it and Ian for scrounging most of the prizes.
It was in memory of Michael Cheal, who sadly passed away in July, aged only 56.
Because Mick loved his darts it was decided by his family and friends that they would like to raise some much-needed funds for the MacMillan Nurses, who along with his wife Pat, cared for him in the last few weeks of his life.
The day raised £2,001, with every penny going to MacMillan Cancer Relief.
