Preston's girlfriend is unlikely to turn up to greet him when he leaves the Big Brother house.

Bandmate Will Brown does not expect Brighton University student Camille Aznar to attend the reality show finale tonight.

The Ordinary Boys' guitarist told The Argus he does not believe Preston has fooled around with fake celebrity Chantelle while in the house.

But he thought media-shy Camille would avoid the glare of publicity and catch up with her boyfriend in their own time.

Camille has been in hiding since Preston befriended Chantelle on the show.

Will, 20, said: "The paparazzi turned up at her work and when she got home, they were outside her house. I think she's going to stay away."

The guitarist does not think his friend had been unfaithful. He said: "Chantelle seems all right to me. I think she's a lot more intelligent than people give her credit for. She seems to know what's going on but doesn't know how to express it.

"I can see why Preston likes her. They are similar ages and they come from similar backgrounds. I think he likes the fact she's a bit of normality.

"I think they'll carry on being friends. I'm sure there won't be a relationship. The papers called it a romp. I think they mean in the Victorian sense. It is all a bit primary school."

Preston fans have called on the public to reach for their phones and help the Big Brother heart-throb win the show. Every vote cast will benefit the singer's charity, the Hove-based homelessness charity St Patrick's Trust.

Since the 23-yearold went into the celebrity house, the sales of the band's album Brassbound have increased tenfold. Their single Boys Will Be Boys has re-entered the charts and has sold so many copies it looks likely to be re-pressed.

The boys have added dates to their UK tour, including a homecoming gig at Brighton's Dome on April 21.

Will, who lives in Brighton, said: "People have been saying: 'What do you think about all the screaming girls that are going to be at your gigs?'

"The way we see it, we have always had a bit of a come one, come all attitude.

"We have never just wanted the indie elite to come along. They're the sort of people who stand at the back tapping their toes and being cool. We are open to any new fans."

Will placed a £10 bet on Preston, who is originally from Worthing and now lives in Hove, to win at the beginning of the series. Yesterday the singer was second favourite with odds of 5-1 compared to Chantelle's 1-4.

Ladbrokes said about 1,000 people had put money on Preston to win at its shops and through its telephone and internet betting.

For every vote cast, 16p will be shared equally between the celebrities' 11 chosen charities.

Father Alan Sharpe, founder of St Patrick's Trust, said he was grateful for Preston's support.

He said: "I urge everyone to ring or text. Every time they do so they're helping to provide shelter and food for those in need."

Will thought his friend had come off well on the show.

He said: "I think he's done himself proud. He's being very genuine. When I have seen him get into arguments, he acts just like when I get into arguments with him.

"I have known him for a long time, since I was 11 or 12. Everything I have seen in there, I have seen before."

Tomorrow The Ordinary Boys will appear on CD:UK and on Sunday on Top Of The Pops.

They are shortly going to Japan for a tour that had to be postponed for Big Brother, with one show in Thailand. Between February and May, they will perform around the UK.
