Oh, it's tough being a fox nowadays, according to Chris Garrod (Letters, February 4), following the introduction of the Hunting Bill, pushed through by a group of "reds", apparently.

Now elderly foxes are no longer legally euthanased, in other words slaughtered, by gallant hunters (who are "not toffs", apparently), they are choosing to retire to the cities in their old age.

I only hope someone warns them about the severe shortage of rest home places in Brighton and Hove.
