Ian Davies today called for coolness under pressure if Hayward's Heath are to avoid relegation from London One.

Heath came within a whisker of recording the one win they need to secure their safety at Ealing on Saturday as they entered injury time leading 25-24.

But coach Davies accused his players of losing their composure when it mattered most as the hosts scored a last-gasp try to triumph 29-25 and extend Heath's losing streak to seven games.

Old Albanians' victory over bottom club Tabard means Heath are now just four points above the drop zone and Davies admits relegation is now a real possibility.

"There were eight tries in the game and we created seven of them," said Davies. "Unfortunately only four of them were for us and that is the frustrating thing.

"We had done a lot of hard work and led for most of the match but a few lapses of concentration let Ealing back into the game at crucial times.

"It is hard to be disappointed with the performance because we created a lot of chances but we snatched at a few which cost us scores and the luck of the bounce was not with us either on ocassions.

"The main problem with us at the moment is that in tight games when we need to show some composure we seem to lose our way and that's what happened again on Saturday.

"We have lost seven in a row now but three of those have been by just one score which highlights the problem. If we had won those we would be bouyant in fourth place rather than fourth from bottom.

"All our remaining games are going to be tight affairs because we are still chasing that one win we need so we have to learn to handle the pressure if we are going to stay up.

"As soon as we get that win I'm sure it would lead to two as we are not playing badly but confidence has ebbed away in the last couple of months."

James Arthur touched down to give Heath an early lead but the hosts hit back with a converted try of their own.

Owen Ashton then ran in the try of the game to restore an advantage the visitors would not relinquish until the closing stages as he latched on to a break from Daniel Morris.

Ashton converted his own score and then added a penalty but another Heath mistake allowed Ealing to hit back straight from the kick off to reduce the deficit to 15-14 at half time.

Lei'ataua 'Otuhouma and 19-year-old debutant James Grey both went over for Heath after the break but each time the hosts pegged them back and delivered the killer blow in injury time when they drove over from a lineout.

Worthing's love affair with the Richmond Athletic Ground came to a cruel end on Saturday as they were soundly beaten by London Scottish.

A run of four straight victories at the ground looked likely to be extended when Worthing went in 17-8 ahead at the break, courtesy of two tries from Duncan Taylor and one from Ben Coulson.

But Scottish roared back in the second half as their pack took control of the set pieces.
