Worthing will give debuts to Tarkan Mustafa and Steve Slade away to Hampton and Richmond tomorrow.

The pair, who have both played League football, have been brought in by the Rebels to kick-start their play-off push in Ryman premier division.

Right-back Mustafa is a former England semi-professional international who Albion tried to sign in the summer of 2000 when Micky Adams was manager.

An FA Trophy winner with Kingstonian, Mustafa turned down Albion to join Rushden and Diamonds, where he won the Conference and went on to play in the League. He joins the Rebels on non-contract terms from Conference side Aldershot, where he had fallen out of favour.

Striker Slade once cost Queens Park Rangers £350,000 when he joined them from Tottenham and he scored six goals in 69 League appearances for the Super Hoops before joining Cambridge United on a free transfer.

He played one LDV Vans Trophy game for Grimsby earlier this season and has recently been on trial at Millwall.

Joint manager Danny Bloor said: "We have ten games remaining to make the play-offs. They were both free agents and hopefully they will give us the fresh impetus we need."

Worthing, who have failed to win their last seven league games, are without midfielder Liam Collins.
