A pop band's bass guitarist who was spotted with the ex-girlfriend of Celebrity Big Brother's Sam Preston has denied rumours of a romance.

Young Soul Rebels' Graham Cullis, 24, popped over to see Camille Aznar at her flat in Hove after she split with Preston, lead singer of Worthing band The Ordinary Boys, who is now famously dating fellow Big Brother contestant Chantelle Houghton.

The next day the tabloid Press printed a photo of friends Mr Cullis and Miss Aznar leaving her flat together, with one newspaper stating they had been spotted kissing and cuddling around town.

But Mr Cullis, from Brighton, said the story was untrue. He said: "I'm friends with Preston and whoever he is going out with.

"He introduced me to Camille a couple of years ago. I went to see how she was while Big Brother was on because it's not nice to see your boyfriend in that situation.

"After Preston came out of the house, I went to say 'hello' to Camille and we got caught by the tabloids coming out. They said we were in there for five hours but I was there for just half an hour.

"It's just ridiculous being dragged into this love square, which is all lies.

"We went to the Duke of York's cinema with Camille's friends to see Good Night, And Good Luck. I walked her back home and went off to a party. The papers said we had been kissing and cuddling around town. It's all lies and rubbish. Preston knows it's all lies.

"My band are mates with The Ordinary Boys."

Young Soul Rebels will tour with The Ordinary Boys from March 20. Their first date will be in Manchester, followed by dates in Bournemouth, London and Leeds.

Young Soul Rebels will come to back to Brighton in the middle of The Ordinary Boys tour to play a gig at the Freebutt in Phoenix Place next Wednesday.

Mr Cullis said he will probably meet Chantelle on the tour.

He said: "She seems like a nice girl. I will also stay in touch with Camille because we are mates."
