Mrs Adams (Letters, March 14) objects to her rubbish collections being limited and recycling having to be washed and sorted.
The days of all of us being able to throw out unlimited amounts of waste and not worry about what happens to it are over, Mrs Adams.
We all have a responsibility to future generations to reduce what we use, reuse what we can and recycle wherever possible.
For Mrs Adams to say "all she gets" for her £120 council tax is rubbish collection is clearly not true.
Our council tax pays for roads, schools, streetlights, museums, playgrounds, libraries, care for the elderly, parks, police, housing, sports centres, pest control, fire and rescue, street cleaners, food inspectors, nurseries, animal welfare officers and many other services.
We all pay our share in providing for the benefit of the community.
-Councillor Warren Morgan, Labour member for East Brighton ward
