Multi-millionaire Mr Martin's pool looks brilliant (The Argus, March 9) and I'd love to be his neighbour. I'd make sure I was his best friend.
This is what I would do in your position, Mr Martin, particularly as you could afford to.
I would move to a nice warm climate and, with today's technology, I would run my business from a gorgeous bougainvillea-covered terrace.
Prior to that, though, I would convert the pool to an open-air pool (nice and quiet they are, ever been to Butlins?), then I would let every room in the house, with permission for full use of all facilities and tenants' friends allowed to visit at any time. I would also park a scruffy-but-legal burger van outside in the kerb.
I would be able to achieve a considerable rent, taking into account the pool facilities. While I work from my sunny terrace for as long as I choose to stay, my house in Tongdean Avenue is earning nicely and appreciating in value.
