Detectives arrested a man in connection with Britain's biggest cash heist during a raid at a Sussex address.

Police investigating the £53 million Securitas raid in Tonbridge, Kent, arrested a 27-year-old man in Crowborough.

An 18-year-old suspect was held in Tunbridge Wells.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. A third man, aged 19, from Ilford, Essex, was also being interviewed under caution, Kent Police said.

The arrests bring the total number to 25 in connection with the robbery. Raiders struck in the early hours of February 22, netting £53,116,760.

Four men and a woman have been charged in connection with the robbery.

John Fowler, 57, from Staplehurst in Kent, is charged with kidnapping the depot manager and his wife and young son, as well as conspiracy to rob and handling stolen goods.

Kim Shackleton, 39, of Allen Street in Maidstone, is accused of handling stolen goods.

Stuart Royle, 47, also of Allen Street, Jetmir Bucpapa, 24, of Hadlow Road in Tonbridge, and Lea John Rusha, 33, of Lambersart Close in Tunbridge Wells, are all charged with conspiracy to rob.
