Any band which colours gigs by orchestrating a "Wall of Death" (the crowd splits in half before hurtling into each other on command), is unlikely to provide laidback fare - and Aiden promise anything but that.

Their latest album, Nightmare Anatomy, opens with a gruesomely-titled account of a friends suicide and closes with bitter tirade See You In Hell - tracks which, in themselves, go some way to explaining why metal oracle Kerrang heralded the Seattle emo thrashers as "the new princes of darkness".

Their venomous metal hooks, complemented by splashes of punk and the odd scream, often uncannily resemble the bludgeoning verve of better-known compatriots My Chemical Romance.

Despite counting two members who only graduated from college last summer within their ranks, the band tour relentlessly, a whirl of black eyeliner, insatiable rage and teenage angst.

Starts at 7.30pm, tickets cost £9. Call 01273 673311.
