I write to give support to the proposed Brighton Eye development.
I believe this is an important opportunity for the city and, in my opinion, is the best suggestion for a tourist attraction the city has had for some time.
It would provide a new, modern landmark and help to add balance to the seafront, which was lost with the destruction of the West Pier.
Tourism is such an important part of the economic structure of Brighton and Hove and a new and exciting tourist attraction, such as the Brighton Eye, would really help to drive additional tourism, providing employment opportunities and benefiting the city as a whole.
It would also complement other major developments in Brighton and Hove.
I believe the Brighton Eye is an opportunity which the city should embrace.
