Karis has described the adverse reports from English Heritage and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) on the King Alfred scheme as "minor" (The Argus, April 29) when they are in fact fundamental.
Tinkering with the design will not be enough.
We need a new design from a different architect but it may prove impossible to fund a sports centre with private flats which also have to subsidise affordable flats on this restricted site.
Earlier (The Argus, April 22), Karis criticised the adverse report from the District Valuer, which demonstrated the scheme is not viable, as based on inaccurate figures.
How is this possible when Karis supplied those figures?
