Audioporn's music has "the balls of punk and the cleverness of Seventies stuff", even if frontman Adrien Munden says so himself.
Munden used to be an actor. Although he doesn't like to talk about it, his past career does have one plus - the band boasts a dressing-up box that's worthy of the RSC productions Munden used to star in.
Last year Audioporn returned from their Edinburgh Festival debut with a string of five-star reviews, describing them as everything from the best band one critic had ever seen to a hybrid of Bowie and Electric Six.
At the time they were peddling their concept album Tank, which charted the journey of a tank bequeathed in a will, found in an underground warehouse and used to crush TV sets which children threw in its path.
Now they're back with their new live show, A Message From Our Sponsors Part 1. Like Tank it's a continuous song cycle, but unlike Tank its storyline is less straightforward.
Could be very interesting.
