I read in the paper of Sir Paul McCartney's marriage breakdown.
With all his money and homes, he gets a great deal of publicity.
A few pages on, I read of some poor vagrant being found dead in a supermarket car park. He was probably starving: Starved of food - starved of love.
He had lain there for two weeks.
Nobody knew - nobody cared. Recently, Brighton and Hove City Council stopped funding one place which does care and tries to help the homeless -
St Patrick's Trust.
What are we coming to in this selfish world today? Where is the compassion? I am 86 years old and I am ashamed and scared of where we are heading.
