My husband and I were fortunate enough to attend Elton John's concert at Hove Cricket Club and he was magnificent.

My problem was with the number of people who were drinking there.

Most of the people in our row were fuelled by alcohol and constantly getting up to get more beer and coming back with it and, in the process, falling on us, treading on our feet and generally being pains in the backside.

We know we were not alone in feeling the sale of alcohol should have stopped after the supporting act had finished playing so we could all enjoy the show without so many interruptions.

Do people really need to get so tanked up to enjoy things like this?

The promoters should think again if they get another opportunity to host such a star.
