I frequently visit the historic village of Rottingdean and notice its pond is becoming more and more neglected.
It is three-quarters covered with dense overgrowth and algae which must affect the wildlife which makes its home in and around the pond. This summer, drought has caused the water level to diminish considerably. If the pond was properly maintained, surely it would not be in the state it is now.
Is anyone out there responsible for the upkeep and well-being of this pond?
