THERE are two ways of looking at Tadcaster Grammar School's two-way mirror.
On the one hand, the fact that the school considered using a piece of kit more associated with major police investigations could suggest a worrying decline in pupil behaviour. From the opposite perspective, however, this can be viewed much more positively.
Bullying ruins children's lives. But identifying the culprits has always been difficult, as their victims are too scared to point the finger.
Deploying crime-fighting techniques like the mirror, CCTV and computer images enables a child to safely identify their tormentor. Justice can finally be done.
That such efforts are being made to tackle the bullies also reflects well on the school.
