Two missing teenagers are believed to have set out to cycle to Brighton from Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing Imogen Thomas, 14, and Victoria Pill, 15.

They were last seen at their school in Witney, Oxfordshire, at about 1pm on Thursday and were reported missing after failing to turn up for afternoon registration.

Officers said the girls had told friends they were planning to cycle to Brighton and may have taken camping gear with them.

Imogen is white, slim, with short brown hair. Victoria is also white, 5ft 5ins, with medium brown hair and wears glasses.

Both girls were wearing their school uniforms of black school trousers and white tops when they were last seen.

PC Chris French said: “Having spoken to the girl’s friends, we believe they may be planning to cycle to Brighton and have taken camping equipment with them.

"I would like to reassure Imogen and Victoria that they are not in any trouble, we are just concerned for their welfare and want to make sure they are okay.”

Anyone who has seen two girls matching their description or has any information is asked to call PC French on 0845 8505505.
