Police hunting for a man who sexually assaulted an 86-year-old woman on a train have made an arrest.
Investigators wanted to identify a suspect who tried to kiss and stroke the shocked pensioner on a journey from Hastings to Brighton.
A British Transport Police spokesman said a 44-year-old man from Bexhill was arrested and questioned yesterday.
He was released on bail until Friday pending further inquiries.
The incident took place as the victim caught a train home from a day out in Hastings at about 7.30pm on April 27.
The suspect boarded the train at St Leonards Warrior Square and got off at Bexhill.
Detectives released CCTV images of the suspect and said the victim, who lives in Stone Cross, was left "disgusted".
