A star-studded street dubbed “Millionaire's Row” has been revealed as the most expensive place to live in Brighton and Hove.
Fatboy Slim and his wife Zoe Ball, Heather Mills and Nick Berry are the long-standing celebrity residents of Western Esplanade on the Hove seafront.
Despite the cache of having famous neighbours, the street is not usually regarded as desirable as other parts of the city such as Tongdean Road and Lewes Crescent, where Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett once lived.
But data from property website Zoopla, which is partly based on recent sales, showed that Western Esplanade is now the second most expensive street in East Sussex, with an average price of just over £1.5 million.
This is because one of the properties recently changed hands for a staggering £3 million – just short of a record for the city.
The most expensive East Sussex road according to Zoopla was Wrens Warren, in Hartfield, where a home costs nearly £2 million on average.
Chichester dominates the list in West Sussex, with the top two places taken by East Strand and Bosham Hoe, where you will have shell out more than £1.5 million to buy a home.
