A teenager was hit with a house brick after he refused to hand over cash during an attempted robbery.
The 17-year-old boy was at the bus stop on the junction with Whitehawk Way and Piltdown Road, Brighton, at midday on Sunday, when he was approached by a boy aged 15 or 16.
He demanded the victim's money and possessions but when he did not hand anything over, he was hit in the arm and head with a brick, knocking off his glasses.
The victim ran off and was chased to a nearby house, but then the attacker also ran away. It is believed he could have been acting with an accomplice.
The suspect is white, 5ft 5, medium build, with very short blonde hair and he spoke with a Liverpudlian accent.
Police are keen to trace witnesses, particularly a girl who is believed to have picked up the victim's glasses after he ran off.
Anyone with information should call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 787 of May 16.
