Brian Clemens' gripping three-handed thriller Inside Job kept us guessing with its deceptions, deviousness and double-dealing.

A talented cast of Matt Healy, Michelle Morris and Christopher Villiers ensured that Clemens' complex plot maintained credibility almost throughout – until a final far-fetched twist.

Director Giles Watling at times finds it difficult to maintain the pace in this Ian Dickens Production, but builds up the tension despite over-long scene breaks.

Healy, best known for his five-year stint on Emmerdale, was again cast as a bad boy – this time ruthless womaniser Larry, a safe-cracker and probable murderer.

He is lured to the Spanish villa home of British ex-pat Suzy (Morris) while her shifty husband Alex (Villiers) is away. Larry thinks sex is on the agenda, but discovers that he is expected to carry out a theft – and then two murders.

The versatile Healy took full advantage of being able to ham it up on stage by producing some captivating facial expressions. Villiers, another Emmerdale favourite, and Morris also threw themselves into their meaty roles and all three were able to ad lib when necessary.

Morris went through the full range of emotions from enticement and treachery to panic and fear.
