Firefighters had an unusual call out after a squirrel became stuck inside a top floor flat.
Three of the crew from Preston Circus fire station spent half an hour chasing the squirrel around the property in Queen's Road, Brighton, before it managed to leap back out of the window.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service received the call at about 9pm yesterday to say the squirrel had been stuck in the kitchen for about 30 hours.
A fire service spokesman said: “There are a lot of trees outside so the squirrel must have climbed up ones of those and then through the window.
“He was leaping about all over us. It was hilarious, if someone had filmed it then it definitely would have been put up on YouTube.”
