Businesses are being told to act quickly if they want to snap up corporate seats at the new Falmer Stadium.

Brighton and Hove Albion are experiencing huge demand for the seats at the new ground and have now opened up the opportunity for all businesses to become members of the exclusive 1901 Club.

More than half of the 2,000 corporate seats have already been taken up and the club expects the remaining 700 seats to go in the near future.

A Brighton and Hove Albion spokesman said: “Our message is if businesses want a premium seat they will have to get in quick.

“We expected to have sold about 500 seats at this stage so we are seeing unbelievable demand, about two or three times more than we expected.

“So far the take-up has been from existing sponsors and businesses who have worked with us in the past at Withdean, but we are now opening it up to businesses who haven’t worked with us in the past.”

Membership to the 1901 Club starts from about £20 per week and will give access to 11 bars and nine lounges selling alcohol and fine foods as well as having the best views of the pitch.

The packages are flexible, allowing the owners to transfer them to friends, family, staff or clients on a match-by-match basis.

Also included in the packages are the chance to meet players and coaches, receive priority access to Albion awards ceremonies, have the company name added to a Wall of Honour at the stadium and priority tickets to A-list away games.

Club members will also be given allocated parking on the University of Sussex campus and access to drop-off points outside the stadium.

All of the club’s 14 corporate boxes sold within a week of being made available in March.
