Only weeks ago I informed Brighton and Hove City Council that the new traffic works outside The Black Lion in Patcham were going to cause an accident. They did not reply or address my concern in any way. Now, a short time later, I read there was a near fatality on the very spot (The Argus, June 17).
I was born in Brighton but now I am happy to move on down the coast. Posting a police patrol the following morning rather smacks of stable doors, bolts and horses.
