I totally agree how lovely the central reservations look planted up with wild flowers (The Argus, June 15).
It is not the first time I’ve seen this. In the past the roundabout in Newhaven near Sainsbury’s has also had wild seeds sown and looked amazing.
What surprised me was the cost at just £10 a bag.
Why doesn’t Brighton and Hove City Council use this scheme at the Steine and surrounding areas? Not only would it give the city amazing colour, it would be so much cheaper than what is planted normally.
The poppies would be a lasting tribute to those who gave their lives for our country and whose names are written on stone across the way at the War Memorial.
