Several new communal bins were placed along the east side of Sutherland Road this morning (Friday 25th June). Residents were perplexed as there had been no consultation about the use or location of these bins.
Contact with City Clean revealed that they are intended for use only by residents in Bakers Bottom. There were no plans, though, for bins in any part of Hendon, Bute, Rochester or Canning St's specifically.
Concerns have been raised already that road safety is compromised by having big bins on corners.
