A lifeboat was called after four people were stranded in the sea when their cabin cruiser broke down.
Eastbourne RNLI’s inshore lifeboat was launched to rescue the vessel after it suffered complete engine failure just after 9pm last night.
The 21 foot boat and the four people on board were floating 500 metres offshore in Eastbourne Bay.
The lifeboat towed the stricken vessel to Sovereign Harbour.
