A former car salesman who made a fortune after bankrolling the Body Shop through its early expansion in Sussex has died.
Ian McGlinn lent £4,000 to Anita Roddick, who founded the chain in Kensington Gardens, Brighton, in the 1970s, to open her second shop in Chichester.
She gave him a 22% stake in return - which he sold for £146m in 2006.
Mr McGlinn died in Monaco in Tuesday from a heart attack.
