The mother of murdered schoolgirl Sarah Payne has said she will not stop campaigning for new laws to protect children from paedophiles.
Child protection campaigner Sara Payne has said that even though almost ten years have passed since paedophile Roy Whiting, of Ferring, near Worthing snatched and murdered her eight-year-old daughter, she is determined to see Sarah's Law brought into effect.
Ms Payne told a Sunday newspaper: “Sarah's legacy is that she told the world what these people do.
“For a lot of people Sarah's a picture, an iconic picture that's become the symbol of the campaign and of innocence.
“I'll keep going for my children, grandchildren future generations and for Sarah.
“With all that she has achieved in death, God know what she could have achieved in her lifetime. I wish she'd had that chance.”
