Fans have been given the chance to leave their mark on Brighton and Hove Albion’s new home by creating pictures, paintings, graffiti and murals to decorate the new stadium. Albion have decided to throw open the concourses of the £93million American Express Community Stadium to the mercy of local artists – professional and amateur – and have issued an appeal for ideas.

The club wants thousands of artists, schools and colleges to put forward proposals on how they would decorate the public areas within the 22,000-seat arena, which opens in August next year.

Entries should be sent to Martin Perry, chief executive, Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, The Project Office, Withdean Stadium, Tongdean Lane, Brighton, BN1 5JD.
