A motorcyclist sustained serious leg and back injuries after colliding with a van on the A27 in Sompting last night.
The 45-year-old man from Sompting was driving a black Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a white Ford van.
He was taken to Worthing Hospital.
The 42-year-old van driver from Pevensey was uninjured.
The collision happened at 6pm at the junction of Busticle Lane and Hailwick Lane.
Motorists experienced delays as diversions at the A24 and A27 junction were put in place and Bostal Lane was closed until around 8.50pm.
Witnesses are urged to call Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 1365 of September 1.
