A disabled man was seriously injured after falling from his mobility scooter on to a miniature railway line.
The pensioner had been in the grounds of Beech Hurst Gardens in Butlers Green, Haywards Heath, at 3pm on Thursday afternoon when he fell from his motorised scooter down an 18ft embankment.
Firefighters from Haywards Heath helped paramedics lift the man on to a spinal board before he was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital by ambulance suffering from head injuries.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
