A street lighting column and lamp was left in a hazardous condition after it was struck by a speeding car near to my home.
I reported it to Brighton and Hove City Council. The street lighting department responded rapidly, safely removing the lamp within an hour.
I was pleased that a few days later the lighting column was straightened and a new lamp fitted. Top marks for service, no councillor required.
