Supporters of a youth advice centre which faces closure say they are dismayed that a “To Let” sign has already appeared on the building.
The Connexions youth centre at the Dip in Hollingdean is just one of the organisation’s services which may be affected by cuts of £700,000 to the service.
The reduction in funding was announced by Brighton and Hove City Council after Government cut-backs.
More than 1,300 people have since signed a Unison petition against the cuts and the issue is due to be discussed at the next full council meeting on October 21.
However a “To Let” sign has already appeared on the building in Hollingdean.
