Katie Price was disqualified from driving today after she received three further points on her licence for speeding, a court heard.

The glamour model was caught by a speed camera doing 83mph along the A23 at Pyecombe in West Sussex on December 10 last year.

Price did not attend Crawley Magistrates' Court for the hearing but pleaded guilty to the charge in her absence.

Her lawyer, Robin Sellers, told the court she was being pursued by photographers when she was caught speeding along the 70mph road.

He said: "About nine minutes before she was caught she pulled over and in a state of exasperation asked that another enforcement officer could have a word with a couple of members of the paparazzi who were following her."

Deputy District Judge Ken Goldspring replied: "It goes with the territory."

Price, also known as Jordan, now has 13 points on her licence.

Earlier this year she received three points after she was convicted of not being in proper control of her luxury 7.5 tonne pink horsebox.

As well as being banned from driving for six months, Price was ordered to pay a £1,000 fine and £100 costs.
