A man is due to appear in court today charged with manslaughter following the death of Tony Magdi.
Paul Lambeth, 35, of Stafford Road, Brighton, is accused of one count of manslaughter and one of possessing cannabis.
He is due to appear before Brighton magistrates.
Mr Magdi died on November 28 in hospital after being assaulted on November 7 in Hove.
For years Mr Magdi ran a green grocers in Portland Road, Hove, and was a well known and loved figure.
