A railway station clock is telling commuters they are early when they are in fact late.
Passengers at Brighton station face a bizarre time warp with faces on the same clocks telling them different things - fooling some passengers into thinking their services are on time when they are not.
The face of the Victorian-style clock that people see when their trains pull into the station is running eight minutes slower than its other faces.
Southern, which is responsible for running the station, said: “The clock is broken. We are responsible for maintaining stations but this clock has a fault within its mechanism, so in that instance we report it to Network Rail.
“We have reported it and they are looking into it. We will chase it up.”
Network Rail is now looking into the problem.
