A lifeboat station has received a “magnificent Christmas gift” of almost £2,500.
Hoteliers Jerome and Carol Farrow donated the money to Eastbourne Lifeboat Station after holding weekly raffles with their guests.
The couple, who run Marine Parade Hotel in Marine Parade, Eastbourne, have raised more than £7,000 for the station in the past two years.
Paul Metcalfe, Eastbourne Lifeboat operations manager, said: “Every penny we receive is crucial to our lifesaving work.”
He said without such support the station could not operate.
